Il secondo grande appuntamento dell’anno dedicato esclusivamente alla categoria dei videogames ha inizio. La GamesCom 2014 inizia ad aprire le porte reali e virtuali agli appassionati di tutto il mondo, con prospettive molto interessanti per quanto riguarda le presentazioni dei titoli e le dimostrazioni demo. L’evento, che si svolgerà come sempre in quel di Colonia, sarà curato nei minimi dettagli grazie all’organizzazione maniacale che solo i tedeschi sanno offrire. Infatti, nel corso di questi ultimi anni, la GamesCom è divenuta una delle tappe più importanti per le aziende del settore videoludico, con un ruolo di estrema importanza per gli utenti europei e non, che la paragonano all’E3 americano e al Tokyo Game Show giapponese. Visto l’E3 2014 e i rumors di questi ultimi giorni, la GamesCom 2014 potrebbe rivelarsi la tappa giusta per l’annuncio di importanti titoli e l’arrivo di novità sul fronte hardware per le console. Gli occhi sono puntati su Assassin’s Creed, Quantum Break, Battlefield, Tomb Raider, Call of Duty, FIFA e molto altro, che dal 12, fino al 17 agosto, si potranno ammirare in tutto il loro splendore, prima dell’uscita definitiva sui mercati di tutto il mondo.

Le conferenze

Come di consueto in queste grandi fiere, a salire in cattedra saranno le aziende produttrici e gli studi di sviluppo più importanti ed influenti del settore, come Microsoft, Sony ed Electronic Arts, che mostreranno le novità anche prima dell’apertura della stessa manifestazione. Il 13 Agosto sarà anche il turno di Konami, ma solo per presentare tutti i dettagli relativi a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, con anche la presenza di Hideo Kojima, il creatore della serie. Anche Capcom si metterà sotto i riflettori, per il quale non si hanno ancora notizie su ciò che presenterà.
