Mentre Apple aggiorna OS X facendolo arrivare alla nuova versione 10.9.2, Microsoft rilascia il suo Service Pack 1 per Office 2013. L’aggiornamento in questione va a migliorare la stabilità generale dei software, così come le prestazioni. Troviamo novità anche per quanto riguarda SharePoint 2013 e Exchange Server 2013. L’aggiornamento in questione è disponibile anche in versione RT, così come per gli abbonati Office 365, che però non dovranno far nulla per aggiornare, dato che Microsoft fornisce a loro automaticamente l’ultima versione, quella più aggiornata.

- Compatibility fixes for Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 for client and for Windows Server 2012 R2 for server
- Better support for modern hardware, such as high DPI devices and the precision touchpad
- New apps for Office capabilities and APIs for developers
- Power Map for Excel, a 3D visualization tool for mapping, exploring, and interacting with geographical and temporal data in Excel, is now available to Office 365 ProPlus subscription customers
- Improvements to the Click-to-Run virtualization technology that installs and updates Office 365 desktop applications
- SkyDrive Pro is now OneDrive for Business
Il changelog completo è disponibile qui. Il Service Pack 1 di Office 2013 può essere scaricato tramite Windows Update. Gli utenti SharePoint 2013 e Exchange Server 2013 potranno invece scaricare l’aggiornamento direttamente dal Microsoft Download Center.
